With structural work complete and the building now watertight, we’re moving confidently into interior progress: rough-ins complete on the lower levels, framing advancing, and finishes about to begin.
The gym floor has been poured, elevators are nearing completion, and the Quinpool sidewalk is once again open to the public.

Major milestone at the SOQU Residence in Halifax, Quinpool Road: the structure is complete, and we’re moving into the finishing and completion stages.
The crane is being removed and is now halfway down.
Appreciation to all involved in the safe and efficient dismantle.

🏙 SOQU Residence – Coming to Life on Quinpool
We’re excited to share a fresh update on SOQU Residence — our latest mixed-use development in Halifax’s vibrant Quinpool District.
Project Highlights:
• Approximately 193 residential units (one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, plus townhouse-style units along Pepperell Street). 
• Roughly 7,653 sq ft of retail space on the Quinpool frontage. 
• Situated at 6353 Pepperell Street (south side of Quinpool) — formerly home to McDonald’s and Fitness FX. 
• Targeted for opening / full completion in Fall 2026 (currently nearing structural completion). 
Message to our future residents & community:
We’re getting warmer. The structure is rising, finishes are underway, and every day brings us closer to welcoming you. SOQU isn’t just a new building—it’s an opportunity to live in a neighbourhood you already love, with new amenities at your doorstep and the energy of Quinpool right outside your door.

So nice to have Dragan drop by for a visit- about 20 years since he first worked with us.
Seeing him again reminds us of what we love about what we do: building not just great projects, but lasting relationships.

We have reached a major milestone in the construction of the Soqu Residence (6353 Pepperell) in Halifax. Our final and top 🔝slab was poured. 💪
Today we held a Top-Off Celebration 🎉 dedicated to the hard work of all those who helped us reach this milestone.
ℹ️Topping off (or out) is a builders’ rite traditionally held when the last beam (or its equivalent) is placed atop the structure during construction.
Good Food - Great Company, Music, Games, Cake n Concrete- oh and prizes too 🙌 Thanks to all those who joined us today - perfect October weather for a party! ☀️

Great progress happening at SOQU 💪
✔️ 1/3 of the building’s structural work is complete
✔️ Construction hoist is erected
✔️ Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler rough-in installation is ongoing
✔️ Exterior envelope (included exterior brick) is ongoing
