From May 31 to June 6, we recognize National AccessAbility Week! At CBCL, we’re proud to support inclusive spaces and solutions that help remove barriers and create opportunities for all individuals to thrive. Together, we continue building a more accessible and welcoming future.

Congratulations to our Water Resources and Fire Protection teams on receiving the 2026 CBCL Innovation Excellence Award for a Wildland Fire Prediction Assessment.

This project involved wildfire modelling and risk assessment across twelve sites in Nova Scotia, combining climate analysis, infrastructure risk evaluation, and practical mitigation strategies. It represents a first-of-its-kind regional wildfire modelling pilot and reflects the strength of collaboration across our teams. A great example of innovation, collaboration, and real-world impact. Congratulations to all involved!
