Congratulations to the one and only R$ $mooth for 30 years on the radio airways!
For those who may not know R$ $mooth is a radio legend in this country. He’s been hosting $mooth Grooves (a legendary slot) handed to him by, the one and only, DJ Delight, 25 years ago at one of the first community stations in the country- CKDU 88.1 FM
Huge shoutout to R$ $mooth for the years of local music you’ve played and the amount of artists you’ve put on. We see your consistent talent, your pedigree of dedication to your craft and your heart to give back the ways you do!
Hailing from the historical community of Beechville, Nova Scotia , $mooth is not only a legendary DJ who’s brushed shoulders with greats, he’s a dedicated community role model who gives back as an academic at NSCC and all over the east coast.
We salute you! 🫡
We see you!
We hope to continue to give you your well deserved flowers as our work to archive Hop Hop Culture continues! 💐👑🖤✨
