607 Audio

The 918 opamp is my favourite of all the discrete options I've tried, and they are the heart of all 607 products. With a tightly matched input transistor pair, high quality metal film resistors and C0G capacitors, they make everything they amplify sound fantastic.

Had a Yamaha Rev 5 in for some restoration. The first picture is the before, the next is the repair. The meter is running again. Holy corrosion though, if I had to guess I would say this one had Coke spilled on it. Recapped it while I was in there. Likely going to upgrade some of the 4558 opamps, it's quite a hissy unit, but a very cool device overall.

As we continue through the creation of the 827, we arrive at final assembly and the start of QA. All done under the watchful eye of Poe.

Gain and attenuation switch boards for the 827. Each contain a custom 41 detent gain pot and a Grayhill 6 position attenuator switch. Only the highest quality components are used here.
