We recently received a beautiful postcard from Melanie, who joined our Oaxaca medical and dental team as an interpreter for the second year in a row. In her note, she shared her appreciation for the opportunity to serve alongside local partners and connect with families in meaningful ways.

Lives are being transformed through LOAM’s ministry in India—and your support is making it possible. 💛

This month, we're celebrating several exciting milestones:

🧵 Women in a remote village are gaining new skills through sewing and jewelry-making training, 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞, confidence, and brighter futures for their families.

🚌 LOAM’s 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐛𝐮𝐬 has been purchased and is expected to arrive soon! For children who have walked long distances to school, this "hope on wheels" will provide safe transportation and greater access to education.

📚 LOAM School continues to grow, with 27 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 and more expected when classes resume in June. Through education, children from vulnerable communities are discovering new opportunities and building confidence for the future.

🏡 At the LOAM Children's Home, 17 c𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞.

At Casa Compasiva in Oaxaca, mothers are finding something many never thought possible: compassionate, respectful care during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. 💛

This latest update shares stories of families like Saira and Rohel, who arrived uncertain and afraid—but through prenatal classes, encouragement, and compassionate support, found confidence and hope for the birth of their child.

Even as it faces new challenges and government restrictions, the team at Casa Compasiva continues to walk alongside mothers with dignity, prayer, and love.

This week, members of the hospital staff in Nebaj visited an elderly couple in the community, bringing much-needed supplies and a reminder that they are not forgotten. Throughout the month, staff have been collecting and sharing small donations with families facing hardship — 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘴.

In communities where many struggle just to meet daily needs, these visits bring more than food or supplies. They bring dignity, encouragement, and hope.
