LTA proudly stands in support of Red Dress Day, honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S+).

The red dress serves as a powerful symbol of those who are missing and the lives that have been taken too soon. We wear red to raise awareness, to remember, and to reaffirm our commitment to listening, learning, and taking action alongside Indigenous communities.

Today in class we talk about our love for our mothers, aunts, grandmothers, sisters, and friends. We talk about how to help others in our community.

LTA will be collecting donations for the Women in Crisis Centre in Guelph this year. Please drop off items from the list below to LTA from November 12, 2025 - December 19th, 2025.

Today, our staff and students wear red and black in honour of those who fought for our country. We take a moment to reflect on the sacrifice they made for our safety and security.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Today, we proudly celebrate Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day and recognize the incredible contributions of early learning and child care professionals across the field.

This year’s theme, “Care Counts”, highlights the deep care and commitment that early learning educators and child care professionals bring to their work every day. There is no education without care – and your dedication is the foundation of thriving children, strong families and vibrant communities.

Early learning educators are deeply committed to nurturing children’s learning and development and families’ overall well-being. The important work you do inspires young minds and builds strong communities for our future.

THANK YOU for all you do to support children’s overall well-being and support their journey toward independence and lifelong success. It all starts with you!
