...And Venus Smiled

This post isn't about shopping. Or consigning. Its about love. Its truly a remarkable thing when the generous actions of one person can collectively open the hearts of so many. Jack Layton, you managed to do that for us. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done for Canada and for her citizens. You were a generous, compassionate force to be reckoned with and in so many ways you have paved the way for a better way of being and a better Canada. Bon voyage mon ami.

No rain predicted in the mall today...! So why not pop in and check out our new Fall arrivals. We've got some great jackets, pants, etc. etc. Help ease the crush and give some garments a new home today!

We just had a rain shower in Old Quebec Street mall. That's a first. The skylights were open and then the sky opened unexpectedly and, voila, the rain came down. It caused a lot of giggles amongst the customers and shop keepers! I guess not too many people expect it to rain INSIDE!!

Today is "Dare" day at AVS. We dare you to buy something warm and cozy from our incoming Fall selection on a rip roaring hot weekend in August. And if you do we'll give you 10% off! The dare lasts until close of store on Saturday August 6th and is good on any new Fall arrival. PS... the store is amply AC'd! :)
