On Sunday, Brian O'Connor, EastGen's recently retired CEO, received yet another well-deserved honour when he was inducted into the Ontario Agricultural Hall of Fame.

It was a full day focused on practical takeaways, on-farm applications, and producer-industry dialogue. Keynote Speakers included Dr. Michael Steele and Dr. Dave Renaud from the University of Guelph. The Calf Raiser Panel featured Chris McLaren (Larenwood Farms); Ashley Pfister (Pfister Dairy Farms), and Hannah McCarthy (Oxford Cattle Company).

We’re excited to welcome 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 to EastGen as a full-time 𝗔𝗜 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻 serving Central Ontario, reporting to Scott Cornish. Emily officially joined the team on May 19.

Emily is a graduate of The University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus and Lakeland College, where she earned her Diploma in Agricultural Science. Most recently, she worked as a Genetic Advisor and Distribution Specialist and prior to that she worked as a Breeding Technician.
