Backyard Bee Works was created in 2007 by myself (Mark) and my wife, Shelley, as a way to highlight and share the amazing honey coming from our urban hives

Since 2007 our backyard hives have been a fun and fascinating way to directly interact with the natural world around us, and to benefit both the honey bee and our local environment at the same time. Interest in both our honey and our hives have grown, and we now place hives in various backyards throughout Guelph.
