Awake Nature

Yesterday, a group of women joined me in the forest to learn some wilderness skills. We spent the day building a shelter from natural materials, learning to filter water and worked on our fire making abilities. They intend to now sleep a night in the shelter that they made. It always excited me to see people delving into deeper layers of connection to the natural world. These skills are not only for "survival" purposes. They are each a gateway into understanding your personal connection to the world around you.
