We aren’t sure who was more shocked, us or Sweet Tea, to find out that she gave birth to seven little ones last night! We never would have guessed her petite frame was capable of holding some many sweet babes. She is settling into motherhood well and is showing herself to be a very loving and doting momma 😻

📢 Hooper has an important update!

Right now, we do not have any kitties in our Palace or Cat Lounge for public viewing. 🐱

We do still have 3 cats hanging out in our front lobby (including Hooper herself!), but the rest of our cat spaces are currently empty.

The good news? That should be changing within the next week or so! Stay tuned for updates as we welcome new feline friends into our spaces. ❤️🐾

Thank you for your patience, and be sure to stop by and say hello to Hooper and the lobby crew!

💙🐾Adoption Update: Jasper (previously Agustious)🐾💙

"Jasper is a very happy dog overall. He’s literally a solar powered doorbell he’ll spend all day soaking up the sun getting a nice tan with his sisters ☀️🐶 He loves playing ball and getting brushed!

There is one thing he absolutely hates though, the magpies in the backyard. He will bark and get SO mad at them 🤣

Jasper also has his brother Miles who moved in a few years ago, and they are best buds 🥹

Thank you Bandaged Paws!"

We love hearing stories like this, thank you so much for sharing with us!

Meet our newest guest, m Sweet Tea ❤️ This brave young mama-to-be has already endured more than any cat should. She is missing most of the digits on her hind feet, along with parts of her ears and half of her tail, injuries likely caused by severe frostbite.

Despite it all, Sweet Tea is gentle, resilient and ready to deliver babies of her own. With only one full toe and three partial toe beans remaining out of eight, we can imagine the extra weight of being heavily pregnant is putting an uncomfortable amount of pressure on her already fragile hind feet.

Please send Sweet Tea all your positive vibes and prayers . After everything she’s been through, she deserves a safe and smooth delivery, healthy babies and a lifetime of comfort and love 🥰

We’re excited to share that Hansen Ford’s Drive For Your Community event takes place tomorrow, June 3rd! Hansen Ford will donate $30 to our rescue for every test drive taken, up to $6,000!

We are incredibly grateful to Hansen Ford for their continued support. Their support helps us continue rescuing, rehabilitating and finding loving homes for animals in need.

It’s an easy way to help animals in need; just take the wheel and support local rescue.

Please share this post and help us spread the word! ❤️

💙🐾Adoption Update: Delta (previously Calliope)🐾💙

"We adopted Delta back in 2021 (was named Calliope at her adoption) since then she’s had a very full life adventuring Vancouver Island. She’s been promoted to big (fur) sister and mostly loving a new walking buddy although she has gained a few grey hairs 😂"

Delta is a gorgeous girl who gets to live Van Island life, I'm so jealous!

💙🐾Adoption Update: Penelope (previously Rockin' Rolanda)🐾💙

"I have an adoption update for Rockin’ Rolanda (now Penelope). We adopted Penelope in May of 2024 after many long months in the shelter. She was a fan favorite at Whiskers Cat Cafe and known for hiding way up high on the shelf away from all the guests and watching everyone with her grumpy chic expression. She hid from us and was completely terrified of human touch, although you could see that’s all she really wanted deep down. She immediately fell in love with our other cat, Truffles (also from Bandaged Paws) and they became inseparable. Turns out Penelope loves other cats and she found her forever bestie! Last August, we decided to take her to the vet to discuss medication as she was still so anxious we could hardly touch her. She was still so skeptical of all humans. Since starting Fluoxetine, we’ve discovered Penelope’s real self. She’s snuggly, kissy, loves belly rubs, licky treats, has a big loud hoarse meow, and loves to play and head-butt us. She’s our pride and joy and we love her so much. She had a tough start to life, but now she’s officially out of her anxious shell and named Princess P in our house 👑🐈‍⬛"

Medication can be such a beautiful thing in helping our animals regulate and have them feel safe enough to show their true colours! Shout out to Penelopes family for taking such good care of her.

💙🐾Adoption Update: Stella (previously LaLa)🐾💙

"We adopted LaLa, now named Stella. A few nicknames include Velocibaby, Stella Bella, an update on how she is doing. She loves walking with her big sister Molly and big brother Tux. Molly is the most fond of her and spend hours playing and taking care of her. She is growing up so fast and has fit into our family so well. She also enjoys waking me up early in the morning to go outside and then come back in for cuddles and a nap before work. Thank you for rescuing her and taking care of her until we could being her into the family! 💜"

Velocibaby is such a good nickname 😂 the puppy teething phase is too real! This litter of pups had a rough start to their lives prior to coming in to our care and it's nice to get a pupdate to see how one of them is doing!!

💙🐾Adoption Update: Elvis (previously Curly)🐾💙

"Just wanted to give an update on Curly he is now called Elvis. He is very much on the go and at full speed. He really enjoys chewing on anything he can especially fingers. He is very curious about water and super curious about the toilet. Enjoys trying to sneak a quick drink out of your glass or cereal bowl. He is constantly talking or purring extremely loud hence how he earned his name! And of course he’s always teasing and playing with the dogs ♥️"

I loved this tiny litter of kittens so much! They're growing up so be such good babies.
