Thank you to everyone who joined Newcomer Day at Camp this year! We had an afternoon of sun and fun at Camp Klahanie on Saturday. A downpour at dinner interrupted us, but didn't dampen our spirits. It was a fantastic day!
Special thanks to the Goderich Lions, Huron Welcome Hub for Newcomers, the Town of Goderich, and the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario for the financial support for this event. We were also grateful to the Huron OPP, Maitland Valley Conservation Authority, Artemis Huron, and Agilec Huron County for joining us and sharing what they do with camp-goers. Lastly, thank you to the elected leaders from the Town of Goderich, Municipality of Central Huron and Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh for joining. It was an afternoon to remember.

✨ NEW this year: crafts with an Indigenous artist, alpacas joining our petting zoo, and an African drumming workshop! Bring a dessert from your culture to share. Everyone is welcome.

Back by popular demand, the Cutting-Edge Cowgirls precision drill team from Mitchell will give two performances at the Bayfield Fair in the main horse ring. The performances will take place on Sunday, August 16th at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., both followed by a meet-and-greet time.

The Cutting-Edge Cowgirls performed at the 2024 Bayfield Fair to a large and enthusiastic audience and made an appearance at the 2024 RCMP Musical Ride in Clinton (co-hosted by Bayfield Agricultural Society). We're excited to welcome them back to Bayfield!
