We are looking for an extra 5-6 bodies for setup for our yard sale this upcoming Saturday, July 25th. Setup is between 7AM-9AM and will involve some heavy lifting to set up our folding tables and yard sale items.

If you have 2 hours to spare on Saturday morning, we would reeeeeaaally appreciate the extra help. The kitties have promised head bumps as payment😸🐾

GC ✈️ remembers and acknowledges those who fought for us so that we have the freedom to celebrate Canada Day! 🫡 🇨🇦

Winning 🏆 the Beaumont Hamel ice hockey tournament comes with a great responsibility. It has been a tradition for the Captain 🧑🏻‍✈️ 👩🏻‍✈️ of both the male and female ice hockey 🥅 teams to attend a wreath laying ceremony at the Beaumont Memorial on Canada Day. Both winning teams were from Central this year and therefore meant a mid week visit 🚗 to the Province Capital.

Adam Byrne, Captain of the boys ice hockey 🏒 team along with his family made the trip into St. John’s to ensure the tradition continued on Wednesday, July 1st. 🥇 🍁

July 1st, 2026 marked the 110th year of the World War 1 battle and GC’s captain wanted to ensure we were represented in collectively honouring our heritage. 💙 💪

Way to go Adam! 👏

On a final note for the year, we would like to wish a happy retirement for three of the best; Mr. Stephen Ash, Mr. Chris Jackson and Ms. Patty Maloney. Each of you has been an integral part of our school community and you will be greatly missed by both staff and students. Good luck on your next chapter and don’t forget to come back to your GC home for a visit every now and then. Concordes forever!
