The Gambo Public Library is proud to provide the community of Gambo with a number of services! Come in and use our computers with free access to high speed internet, check out the selection of new books and old favorites, DVDS, and TV Series we can also order in any items that we don't have in house including Auto Books completely free of charge. Plus check out our over 22 magazine subscriptions.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has gifted free books to millions of children worldwide, an amazing legacy to leave behind for generations to come.

A wonderful time was had at our Storywalk for summer 2026!
We started our evening with a tribute to Dolly Parton. Dolly’s lifelong personal symbol is butterflies, so every child colored butterfly wings to hang along the trail in her memory.
We read Collette the Solitary Bee, and found things that bees help grow, like strawberries, blueberries, and apples along the way. Everyone became Bee Explorers and collected all 8 stamps along our walk for finding these items.
We ended our evening with a delicious bee themed snack, and we had a tribute for Dolly as well. Of course everyone ended up in the Splash Pad, even me. A great time was had by all.
I’ll end with a quote by Dolly, “Dream more, learn more, care more, be more”. 💗

Tonight children will color their wings and hang them along the Sensory Trail, in memory of Dolly Parton. For those registered, please come by 6:15-6:20 if you would like to take part in this tribute. We will meet at the Sensory Trail sign in the parking lot. If your child cannot make it tonight but would like to participate, please reach out to get a set of wings. Thank you 😊
Another wonderful Book Club in the books this afternoon. It was lovely to sit and enjoy the conversation this month with you ladies. Our next book is Becoming by Michelle Obama. If you couldn't make it this afternoon, please drop by to pick up your copy. Next Afternoon Book Club with be Tuesday, September 29th at 2pm.

Buzz on over for a StoryWalk® featuring Colette the Solitary Bee!🐝
To begin our adventure, every child will be given a mission! Everyone will receive a bee headband to wear and a Bee Explorer Card!
The mission ✅We will read Colette's story page by page, children will hunt for hidden bee-themed items, and complete challenges along the way! Objective is to collect all stamps for their Bee Explorer Card!
Join us for an interactive outdoor reading adventure, perfect for children of all ages, and celebrate at the end with a delicious snack!

Afternoon Book Club is one week from today! I've been hearing good things about The Sign on My Father's House! Next Tuesday afternoon at 2pm we will discuss our book, we will also have a lunch to celebrate a wonderful spring/summer with our newly established Afternoon Book Club.
