Keyano Huskies Athletics are incredibly proud to share that former Athletic Director Wayne Thomas has been recognized by the Sport Wood Buffalo Hall of Fame as an inductee for the Class of 2026 as a Builder.

Starting his career at Keyano in 1981, Thomas spearheaded the charge to get the Huskies admitted into the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC), becoming our first Athletic Director in the process.

In 2014, he was inducted into the ACAC’s Hall of Fame.

On behalf of Keyano Huskies Athletics, congratulations Wayne! This honour is incredibly well deserved!

Community Member Opportunity – Keyano College Research Ethics Board (REB)

Keyano College’s Research Ethics Board (REB) is seeking to appoint one community member for the 2026–2027 term. The REB plays an important role in ensuring the ethical conduct of research involving human participants at or affiliated with the College.

We are looking for a community member with an interest in ethical research practices who can contribute valuable perspectives to the review process.
