Art inspired by the feeling of escaping into nature. Inspired by the forests and mountains of British Columbia, Helen Utsal’s work captures this feeling. Wishing to convey her awe of British Columbias majestic beauty, Helen uses unique colour palettes, and compositions that often place the viewer on the edge of the landscape, inviting them to enter, look up, feel hopeful and connected.

Helen Utsal is an award-winning contemporary landscape painter living and
working on Vancouver Island. Spending time in Nature is a critical aspect of her inspiration and art practice. It is her space for meditation, curiosity, creation and renewal.
