Happy Easter from the Backshed!!

Delivery mostly successful! Our first batch of Checkerhead Brewing 's maple Dubble has arrived at the Backshed! Can't wait to give this a sample soon!!!

We had a great last week of boiling in the Backshed. Thanks to all the friends and family who dropped in.

Getting a batch of maple syrup all set to ship off to Checkerhead Brewing, in Sooke BC.

Gameplan is for Checkerhead to transform this batch into a big brew of a Belgian style maple dubbel... I'll boil off as much h20 as I can to help save on shipping costs!

Our favorite local coffee roaster dropped by the Backshed yesterday.. and he brought some of his latest roasting to trade for maple syrup. Sweet deal!! Thanks for dropping by Paul.. wr can't wait to get into this delicious coffee.

If you haven't tried Chin Chin Coffee Roasters coffee, you should... amazing coffee, roasted right in Russell, ON. We're so lucky to have excellent local producers close by.

We thought yesterday was our last boil... looks like mother nature decided otherwise. We ended up collecting another 400L of sap yesterday while we pulled our taps.. so we're boiling again today.. 9am to 4pm.

Well also get a campfire going.. and we'll be bottling and selling syrup, so let us know if you want to drop in and help with the campfire.

Kids are welcome, but if left unattended we will either put them to work and or feed them eapresso and maple syrup.

We bottled up a few batches of this year's maple syrup, and have updated the stock on our website.

Pick-up orders only this week as we are still boiling.
