Seriously, it's worth all the scrolling to find it. Then you too can enjoy the "wait... what?" moment of disbelief and read the title six times while your mouth gapes open and your brain slowly processes that, yes, it's true, this silly, gross, childish, fun, unexpected, and delightfully nostalgic 80s Halloween book about a pumpkin-rat-zombie apocalypse really did make the list.

For best effect, I recommend doing so at 3am when your eyes are bleary and your brain half-asleep, so that you aren't quite sure if you've dreamed it or not and have to go back and keep checking.

One year ago, on October 22, 2024,Chris Heinicke and I released what we called at the time our "October book" into the world.

We never know how our books will be received but we hoped that people would enjoy a crazy trip back to 1982 and the small town of Harvest Creek, Wisconsin where the Halloween Harvest Festival was set to become a horrorshow of pumpkin-rat-zombie-apocalypcalyptic proportions.

One year later, we can safely say that with over 120 ratings, it is our most popular book to date and we are very happy so many people have added it to their annual Spooky Season reading list.
