Maybe that’s what makes travelling so special. You can drive the same roads, stand beside the same lakes, and look at the same mountains years later—but the person experiencing them will never be exactly the same.

From the unreal turquoise waters of Emerald Lake, to cruising across the peaceful waters of Maligne Lake, to driving through the breathtaking landscapes of the Icefields Parkway—every stop became a moment I know I’ll never experience in quite the same way again.

The mountains will still be there.
The lakes will still be there.
The roads will still be there.

But this version of me, experiencing them for the first time, won’t be.

So take the long way. Stop for the view. Feel the cold air. Watch the mountains disappear behind the clouds. Take the photos, but don’t forget to put the camera down and actually be there.

Because someday, you may return to the same place…

but you’ll never return to the same moment. 🏔️✨

First time trying Phillys ! 👀🥩

The kids started with plain hot dogs and fries. For some reason, the hot dogs weren't really their thing 😂 but Dom LOVED the fries!

Then it was our turn! I got the beef Philly cheesesteak and Iz went with the chicken, and both were really good. Iz also got a poutine and absolutely loved it!

And of course I had to try their pretzel too, which was SO good. 🥨

Definitely a solid first visit, and we'd come back for those cheesesteaks!

We came face-to-face with SUE the T. rex! 🦖

We spent the day exploring TELUS Spark in Calgary, starting with SUE: The T. rex Experience. Between the life-sized cast and interactive displays, there was so much to discover about one of the most complete T. rex specimens ever found.

We explored more of the hands-on exhibits throughout TELUS Spark, caught the T. rex dome show and finished our visit outside at the park, which was easily one of the kids' favourite parts! 🙌

Such a fun mix of dinosaurs, science and play for a family day in Calgary.
