I am just flabbergasted.

EDMONTON, ALBERTA - A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a man wanted in the 2019 central Edmonton shooting death.

Shots rung out at an apartment building near 117 Street and 107 Avenue around 7:20 a.m. on Dec. 25, 2019, before a 28-year-old man was found slain outside and emergency crews responded.

The victim, identified as Abdinasir Abdullahi Shire, was treated by paramedics but died shortly after.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Office subsequently determined that Shire died from gunshot wounds and the manner of death was homicide, police said in a Tuesday night news release, adding that homicide investigators have now identified a suspect.

Investigators at the 2019 crime scene said at the time that Shire had been attending a Christmas party that spilled outside before he was shot.

Fahiye Ahmed, 38, is wanted for second-degree murder.
