We had a great time at the 2025 IBAA Convention in Banff! We started out with a fun day of golfing with Wawanesa Insurance. Spent time connecting with our insurance providers and had the opportunity to listen to many inspiring guest speakers. There is a lot of ongoing change in the insurance industry currently but have come back feeling motivated, inspired and ready to better serve our clients!

We’re all ready for this cold weather to end. But is your house?

It’s been a snowy winter but with warmer temperatures on the horizon, the risk of ice damming and basement seepage is very high this year. The good news is that there are things you can do –plan to do them this week!

- Remove as much snow off your roof as possible. Use a roof rake so that you can do it safely and prevent an ice dam before it ever forms

- Shovel the snow at least 2 meters away from the foundation of your house and make sure there is a path for melt water to drain away from your home.
