To any photographers who want to photograph this PLEASE make sure you contact Badlands Amphitheater as all photography on their site must be arranged in advance with their production team. Their 400 acre Badlands terrain requires a production guide due to unpredictable hill conditions.

My original plan was to capture the Aurora over downtown, giving me more practice because it’s quite different shooting a skyline & shooting the Aurora so trying to learn the right settings to capture both at once. But the Aurora decided to put on a heck of a show to the South, so I turned around and decided to use the Riverwind Towers (since my mom worked on them) instead.
