Revisited Mary Oliver’s work in this in-between season (in many ways). Her poem Wild Geese brings me home.

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.

Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.

Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again.

Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting -
over and over announcing your place

It takes a village. Sometimes you are the village, but most times is all the women who keep us steady when juggling.

Done 🥰 Thanks for the good vibes, good tunes and for loving on our good smells this weekend at the . This was my 4th year as a vendor, and definitely my favourite. Having .goods join me was excellent company and perfectly complimentary - we collaborate on products and know each others’ work so well it’s easy and fun to share with everyone. I appreciate all the support, and especially the sentiments as this was my first SAW since closing the brick and mortar end of September last year. It means so much to know how beloved and missed it is, and how eager y’all are to visit and support me at events since. The organizers and volunteers are nothing less than angelic IMO - so willing and happy to help.
