Langier Real Estate Developments currently oversees a diverse portfolio of retail, multifamily, townhouse and single family projects.
We are looking for an Assistant Resident Manager Team (Single or Team of Two) for various Properties in our Edmonton portfolio on newly high end apartments in the Whyte Avenue area. Assistant Resident Managers contribute to Langier Real Estate’s goals by positively representing our Residents and assisting in other Real Estate and Development objectives. Assistant Resident Managers ensure excellent and responsive service to resident requests, and provide a clean, well-maintained and secure building.

Job Responsibilities
• Show suites and provide prospective Residents with an application if they are deemed a good fit for the building;
• Manage the rental process for Residents, which includes all the required paper work for the rental of suites, parking and/or storage lockers;
• Answers telephone inquiries and emails regarding suites. Must become familiar with all physical aspects of an available suite (how many sq. ft., location, conditions, etc.), all aspects of the suite rental process (deposit, number of people, pets etc.), and the building amenities available;
• Treat applicants and Residents with courtesy and respect, communicate any problems or concerns to lead Property Manager;
On a regular basis:
o Clean common areas, laundry rooms, vaccum lobby and elevator, remove trash
o Ensure all outside entrances to the building are clean and tidy;
o Inspect parking lots, and sweeps/tidies as required;
o Check all floors for burned out lights, debris, and cleans as required;
o Perform frequent security patrols of the building;
o Become familiar with building systems
o Analyze emergencies and contacts the Property Manager when necessary;
o Prepare vacant suites for new Residents by completing necessary repairs, upgrades and/or cleaning and painting;
o Caution Residents regarding complaints about misuse of property;
o Maintain the building by performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities,
• Performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist Langier Developments in other related Real Estate business activities in regards to renovations, new construction and commercial real estate.
Job Requirements
• Must have good understanding of the English language.
• Knowledge of business, budgeting, real estate, construction/carpentry, building systems and/or building maintenance would be an asset;
• Highly organized with excellent problem solving and customer service skills;
• Presentation and sales skills are necessary to market suites to prospective Residents;
• Previous experience in housekeeping, common area cleaning would be an asset;
• Comfortable with basic accounting principles, handling cash;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, and Excel);
• A basic set of tools, which Team Members are required to provide,
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance. Resident Managers represent Langier Real Estate to our Residents and prospective Residents;
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment where mutual support is essential;
• Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends;
• Be physically able to carry out all necessary duties. All candidates must be physically able, at minimum, to paint and clean, including bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50lbs;
• This position may require travel between sites; a valid class 5 driver's license and satisfactory driving record and access to transportation will be required.
