For those who don’t know me, allow me to re-introduce myself.

Hi! I’m Ruhee, Founder of Rubies Bras. We took some time to rest after closing our custom bra side of the business and now, we are back with a more teaching & mentorship lens this year!

Before I started Rubies Bras, I had never sewn anything. Over 11 years ago, I was out to lunch with a friend and was complaining about my bra (as one does) when she suggested I try sewing my own. I thought she was kidding at first. But desperate times lead to desperate measures, so I tried it. And I couldn’t believe the difference! That day a new passion was ignited inside me for bramaking and I’ve never looked back.

A great bra will change your life. It can resolve pain. It will build confidence. It will make you feel beautiful inside and out. I’ve been on a mission to help others feel incredible in a bra that was *made for them*.

With that being said, I wanted to do a final shoutout for our current live sewing class for the Sahaara Laces Wirefree Bra. Over 6 weeks, we will help you sew a bra from start to finish. You’ll build sewing skills, be part of a close knit sewers community, and have support from teachers as you go.

But here’s the main thing I want you to know:

It’s one thing to make a bra from a pattern, it’s a whole other thing to adjust that pattern so it fits YOUR body perfectly. That’s where Rubies Sewing Academy comes in. Your instructors are knowledgeable and passionate about bra making, and we feel the best when YOU create a bra that will fits perfectly.

📣 Our Sewing Class series is back!

We are so excited to bring back the Sahaara Sewing Series, now in Lace fabric! These classes are a very low-pressure and supportive environment where you can sew a bra that will fit your body perfectly. You’ll leave this class with the skills and confidence to sew more!

We want to make it easy for you, so we’ll send you all the materials you need to sew 3 practice bras and your final bra.

✨Registration is OPEN! Here’s everything included when you join the class:

• 6 weeks of live step-by-step classes via Zoom.
• A full Sewing Kit with all bra supplies (includes fabric and notions).
• 4 Custom Bras made-by-you (three practice bras, plus your final lace bra).

As Rubies Bras celebrates its 10-year anniversary, I wanted to take a moment to share some of the highlights—and lowlights—of our journey in our latest blog.

No sugar coating, just the real, raw experience of what life has been like on the inside. My hope is this sheds some light on the ups and downs, the grit and the joy that have defined the last decade.

Now, 10 years and 1000 bras later, it’s time for a change—one that is more bold and rooted in curiosity, imagination, and deep artistic focus. I don’t know exactly where it will lead, but I know it deserves my full energy and focus.

To my clients and the bra sewing community: Your support has lifted me more than you know. Every like, comment, message, shared story, and meet up got me through the hardest days. It really does take a village. And I’m beyond lucky to have found one—and to still be growing in it.
