Happy April … I hope Spring has finally sprung 🌷
I recently stitched Teresa Kogut’s “Coco’s Garden” on 32 count linen over 2 using hand dyed threads from my stash. It was a bit of a finicky finish but I followed the steps on her website and it came out nicely. I then finished it with a handle from a basket I thrifted. I love how it turned out and most of you know how I love anything with a bunny 🩷🐇

I just finished stitching “Running Bunny Biscornu” by Annie Beez Folk Art. Such a great 2 sided design that I can display the bottom side up with the hearts ❤️ in February and the top side with the bunnies 🐰 in March and April for Easter. I stitched mine on 36 count linen over 2 threads using mostly the called for colours. This pattern had a few charting mistakes so if you decide to stitch it check out their website for the corrections 🪡

My latest addition to my stitched tree collection 🌲… “The Tree Lot” by Hands On Design. I stitched these on some scrap pieces of 32 count linen from my stash making a few adjustments to the chart so they would fit on my fabric. I mounted them on triangle shaped cardboard instead of the rectangle shown in the pattern, then used a dowel some cording and some antique spools 🧵 to make them into little trees 🌲🌲🌲

I had a lot of fun making these little pin cushions as gifts this year using up buttons from my button collection. I edged them with chenille and added a little wooden scissor button to the back. Sometimes the easiest designs finish up so cute🪡🧵✂️

I recently finished Blackbird Designs “Early Christmas Morning” I stitched it on 25 count over one with one thread of hand dyed threads that it called for. I made some alterations on the band so it would fit around my container as I wanted it functional instead of a drum. Then I finished it off with some pink rick rack. I’m pretty sure the pattern is still available you can check with Mister Frame to see if they can set you up with the supplies needed 🪡 🎀

I recently finished “Nettle” by Stacy Nash. I had so much fun stitching her up. I made some changes by creating a base for her to stand alone and I made the pumpkin into a functional pumpkin 🎃 for her to hold her treats 🍬I also added a little pumpkin charm and made a pocket on the back to hold my scissors ✂️🐰🐈‍⬛

I recently finished “A Knitter’s Sampler” by October House. What a fun little project… I made some changes to match my friend’s colour theme and made some minor alterations to make it square so it would fit on this great box from Winners. 🧶 🐑 🪡
