Dr Sander van Zanten is retiring and Dr Karen Goodman is collecting comments of appreciation for his work. As many of you may remember, this work includes being Lead Gastroenterologist for the CANHelp Working Group, where he took many trips to northern communities to do scope tests on folks and speak to patients and whole communities about stomach health.

Check out our paper on H. pylori disease burden! Over the years these results have been disseminated and discussed in the communities and at scientific meetings, but this is the first publication from our work reporting H. pylori prevalence and related disease burden.
