Did you know that the Government of Canada has extended temporary measures through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program Workforce Solutions Road Map to address continued labour shortages and support Canada's economic growth?

These measures will be in place until August 30, 2026, and include:

✅ Allowing certain sectors with labour shortages to hire up to 30% of their workforce through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program for positions under the provincial or territorial median hourly wage;
✅ Maintaining a maximum two-year employment duration for positions under the provincial or territorial median hourly wage; and
✅ Adjusting the Labour Market Impact Assessment validity period to 12 months to protect Canadian jobs.

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is launching a new immigration stream on December 1, 2025, to help the province's tourism and hospitality industry deal with labor shortages.
Full details will be announced on December 1, 2025. However, we do have some preliminary information regarding eligibility for the program:
- It will be an Employer-driven stream, where applicants MUST
have a Valid full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an approved
employer operating within the industry.
- Applicants may need at least six months of work experience in
the specified industry and/or occupation.
- There may be education and language requirements.
- There will be a cap to this stream (like all Provincial Nominee
Programs)
