Our Jr. Kindergarten program combines research-aligned teaching, Science of Reading instruction, and hands-on, play-based learning to build the skills children need for success—not just in Kindergarten, but throughout their educational journey.

-Age-specific programs for children ages 2–5: Our age-two Discovery program is parented, while our Prep and Scholars programs for ages 3–5 are independent.

-Children are placed in developmentally appropriate classes and are not grouped together across all ages.

Keep learning strong this summer!

Our School Readiness Summer Program is designed for children entering Kindergarten or Grade 1 this September who would benefit from a strong review of key early literacy and numeracy skills before the school year begins.

Through fun, hands-on lessons, children build confidence with:
• Letter sounds, sound mats, and early phonics
• Word families, decoding, and beginning reading skills
• Counting, number recognition, ten frames, and number sense
• Addition and subtraction concepts
• Shapes, patterns, and early math vocabulary
• Interactive books, journals, and engaging learning activities
• Purposeful play and weekly themed centres that keep learning fun, creative, and social

This program is a great fit for children getting ready for Kindergarten, as well as children heading into Grade 1 who may need extra practice, review, or confidence after the summer break.

At Jumpstart, learning is purposeful, playful, and research-aligned. Our goal is to help children keep their skills growing over the summer while still enjoying the hands-on, playful experiences that make learning meaningful and fun.

✨ September ➡️ June ✨ Look at that literacy growth!

Our Scholars students begin the year learning to draw with purpose, write their names, and connect sounds to letters. Through regular journal writing, they develop the confidence to express their ideas through both pictures and words.

By the end of the year, many students are independently writing sentences, using their sound knowledge to stretch out words, and creating detailed illustrations to match their stories.

We can't wait to see their growth continue as they head off to Kindergarten this fall! ❤️

As another wonderful school year comes to a close, we look forward to celebrating all the learning, growth, friendships, and accomplishments of our amazing students. We will also recognize and celebrate our Scholars students as they take the next step in their educational journey, graduating to Kindergarten or Grade 1.
