Day 4 of the trip.

We started off with a great breakfast of eggs and bacon again. A day off packing things up as it was time to leave our lovely arbnb.

We had a car to pack again as well as suitcases. Everyone else had suitcases to pack. Then they all had to head off to the airport to fly back to the island. Of course the flights left at different times.

First Logan and family went early as they are not use to traveling. They were not sure what to expect and wanted to be early. Keegan and Juli stayed till we had to be out of the house which was 10 am. They also went early to the airport as they had work to do and could do it easily at the airport.
It was so wonderful to see them all and spend the few days with them doing different things with them. I’m blessed they all wanted to come. So much love for everyone that stayed in the house I think we all had fun even though it was very 🥵 hot.

Day 3

We woke up a bright sunny and filled out belly’s with eggs and bacon.
The 8 of us piled off to the zoo to explore. Wow what a treat to check it all out and the different animals.

First up we’re the penguins, followed by lots of walking to getting to explore the zoo. We saw peacocks, camels, 🦩 flamingos, 🐅 tigers, tapirs, butterflies 🦋, polar bears 🐻‍❄️, 🦓 zebras, and much more.

We then meet up with the married couple and the kiddos. We explored the zoo with them for a wee bit. It was a very hot day for the adventure at the zoo.

We left the zoo after exploring it for 4 hrs on a very hot 🥵 day. During our exploring we had breaks the shade and lots of water 💦 to drink. We also found a misty station which was a very much needed cool down before we went off on the rest of the day.

A family friend came over for a visit so she could see the family as it’s been over 20 yrs since she had seen the kids. Ranjana stayed for a few hours and everyone trickled in and she got to see everyone in the family.

We had a great family dinner with everyone chipping in for meal prep and clean up. Thank goodness for dishwashers as they were 14 of us for dinner. It’s was fabulous to see everyone and spend time together.

Day 2
We woke up to a overcast day for the wedding. We was prefect for it we thought. Getting 9 people out the door in time was a challenge but we all got dressed up and out in time. The invitation said 10:30 am but we know some family members are late arrivals. Lol but the wedding was actually at 11:00 am.

The weather turned sunny and hot and we were down by the reservoir which was a beautiful setting for it. There was about 30 people there which was perfect.

We all moved into what little shade there was as it was very hot. In the end we had some sunburnt people me being one of them.

We can home for a shower, rest from the heat and then went to a castle house for more family time, presents for the married couple and some more food.

Then back to the cool house for more food and rest and family time. The end of another long hot day but we had loads of fun and conversation.

Day 1 of the trip started off with a 3hr drive from Edmonton and the car 🚘 was full packed with food presents and our clothes. The trip was nice as the traffic was light which made for time to listen to a book on the way.

We arrived safely and eager to see my kids and families. Unpacked the car and then headed out again to get more food and a dress for my sister as she left hers on the bed at home.

Arrived back at the arbnb had a rest and then dinner. We then started cutting up the veggies for the wedding. Man we were exhausted but forged on.

The arrival of my first son was a little bit delayed as goggle maps sent them to the NE of Calgary but we are in the NW of the city. With some chatting and then using someone else’s phone then arrived.
Tired but safe. More meal prep for the wedding but this time by someone else. Yeah

Now to wait in my other son and partner to arrive while everyone else went to sleep as it has been a very long busy day.
They arrived after midnight as they ran into some difficulties getting here but with some directions from me got here safely and happy to see me.

Off to sleep we went.

Car is packed and we are off on our road trip to Calgary to attend a family wedding.

Watching the France/Spain game. At the moment Spain is up 1-0 on France.

Since the wedding is fast approaching it was time to get my hair done for the big day. I didn’t realize how long it was. So now I have a new due for the wedding.

I got my feet pampered in preparation for my Nephew’s wedding next week. Hair cut and done later in the week and maybe a manicure next week just before the wedding. I have my family coming from BC to attend the wedding. Starting to get excited to see everyone and spend some time together.
