STEM Potential Enrichment Camp (SPEC) is a 6 week long science and engineering based summer camp program for high school students going into grades 10 to 12. The SPEC summer camp runs from July 4, 2017 to August 11, 2017 and is located at the University of Alberta North Campus. The camp will take place during the weekdays from the hours of 10 am to 3:30 pm in the Education North building, room 2-1
Saba Saadat worked with the TeamUP Science student group in 2017/2018 as the Director of SPEC Sponsorship. She was a very kind, generous and dedicated individual who always brought a positive attitude to our group. She worked hard during her time with TeamUP, going above and beyond her role, to provide educational opportunities to marginalized youth in Edmonton. We are very sad to hear about her passing, as well as the other 175 victims aboard the UIA Flight PS752. We send our deepest condolences to Saba’s family, friends and anyone else who had the pleasure of knowing her. Thank you Saba, for all the efforts that you put into making the world a better place.
