Some women are lost in the fire. Some women are built from it.Some women fear the fire. Some women simply become it.
There is fire in her if loved correctly she will warm your entire home.. if abused she will burn it down.
Women are the backbone and strength of the home- the providers of warmth, light and nurture.
When women are healthy and strong, the homefire is also healthy and strong.
Homefire doesn't just speak about a home. It speaks about the fire within us - the spirit within us.
she is a storm, untamed
she is a river, untouched
Did you know?
Iskwew is the Cree word for woman derived from Iskotew which means fire!
The Plains Cree word for Fire is “Iskotew”(iskotêw). The “otawew” (otêh ‘heart’) of our lodges/tipis is always the iskotew, as without fire, we would not have survived. As such, fire is seen and understood as “pimatisowin” (pimâtisiwin ‘life’). The keeper of the lodge fire is iskwew (iskwêw ‘woman’). Iskwewak (iskwêwak, plural) are the givers of life which is why the second root word in iskotew comes from the Cree word for heart. “Kaytayak” (kêhtê-ayak ‘elders’) say that the heart and strength of the Nations comes from our women and the initial thread of this power is transferred in infancy during the time when a child is breastfed. Half of the woman’s spiritual power, her strong physical health, her courage, her kindness etc. is passed on to the child during this time. Kaytayak say that there is nothing so strong as this gentleness because there is nothing more gentle than this real strength.
The strength of a woman is not measured by the impact that all her hardships in life have had on her; but the strength of a woman is measured by the extent of her refusal to allow those hardships to dictate her and who she becomes.
To all of us Women´s we are not an OBJECT and also NO Option! to a weak man - not a PUNCHING BAG _ not a target for EMOTIONAL ABUSE! You worth more than that! You were created to be a Partner to MEN not a SLAVE, to provide Strength and support to them not to be used and manipulated by them, to submit to them not to become fools in that process. You have your Dignity and Self Worth. Never sacrifice those!
Women have the strong thing inside of them and the can get through anything. They just can. They're used to pain of child birthing - pain no man knows - and some women being battered around and not treated right through all the centuries and having to learn at a real young age how to stay alive on the inside when the outside is being hurt real bad. Most all women know that.
A woman is a person who may do, say, think, feel, and show, as she wishes to, without any of that having to do with any man or any other woman around her. Yes, it is true that no person is an island, but what is also true, is that, every person is a living being capable of performing, acting, thinking, showing and feeling, entirely unto their own will and for their own purposes.
Today women are making headlines each and every day as the makers and creators of positive change in all walks of life. Be it as scientists, doctors, pilots, engineers, artists, writers, musicians, innovators, teachers, photographers, journalists, astronauts, researchers, managers, private or government employees, designers, singers, dancers, entrepreneurs, architects, bus drivers, nurses, chefs, actors, politicians, athletes, or home makers, women have been and are continuing to prove themselves to be equal to or better than men in all walks of life!
Bravo Women!
Who is the perfect woman?
She is not in some distant future or in the heads of all that have always thought they know best what is best for you and who you should be.
The perfect woman is YOU, just the way you are.
You, with all your mood swings, all your doubts and fears and all the challenges you are being faced with.
It is YOU, if only you allow yourself to reclaim your BIRTHRIGHT. Your SPACE.
It is YOU, when you take a hold of your own SCEPTER and become the RULER of your own personal DESTINY.
Step out of the false ideas that you've taken upon as your own.
ALLOW yourself to dive into the true resonance with your body and soul, learn to listen to what it has to say. Learn to lovingly but firmly hold your ground and walk the path that is yours and yours alone.
YOU are the one you've been waiting for!
