Today is World Car Free Day! ETS is celebrating those who choose sustainable transit.

With nearly 1,000 buses, 185 routes and 40 kilometres of LRT tracks, we can take you around the block or across the city!

Just last year alone, ETS clocked over 46 million kilometres with our buses and LRT, a distance which could spin you around the earth 1,156 times at the equator.

Did you know that even after one train passes, another train may be approaching from the opposite direction? Trains can also be difficult to judge for speed and distance.

Always wait for the gates to rise, the lights to stop flashing, and make sure you have a clear view in both directions before crossing.

Remember: Stay aware of your surroundings and be safe around trains, tracks and rail crossings.

You can see these works of art and others at rail crossings along 111 Street, at 40 Avenue, 43 Avenue and Whitemud Drive.

Remember, there is no Capital Line LRT service between Clareview and Churchill from tomorrow, September 19, until end of service Sunday, September 20.

LRT replacement buses run between Clareview and Churchill every 7 to 8 minutes from the beginning of service until 7 pm, then every 10 minutes until end of service.

As part of the University of Alberta alumni weekend festivities, the Golden Bears football team faces the University of Saskatchewan Huskies Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Fans can use their game ticket as valid transit fare on buses and LRT to and from Foote Field.

There’s no need to tap on and off! Just be prepared to show your physical or digital game ticket if asked.

Visit the D.L.MacDonald LRT garage on September 26 from 10am - 3pm and the Ferrier bus garage on October 3 from 10am - 3pm.

Learn about day-to-day operations, get a chance to explore modern and vintage ETS vehicles and chat with ETS staff members who keep it all running.

Metro Line service change: September 17 (5-7 pm):

ETS is providing increased LRT service to the Foo Fighters concert. To accommodate this, some Metro Line trains will be diverted to Clareview to help concertgoers get to Commonwealth Stadium.

Riders going to NAIT must transfer at Churchill Station. Train signage will reflect routes.

Churchill-NAIT trains will run every 15 minutes.
