The Town of High Level Fire Department is seeking an experienced Captain for our Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Team. This leadership role is responsible for supervising and coordinating a four member WUI Team that is deployed to assist with wildland fires throughout Alberta and inter-provincially. During times the Team is not on deployment, the Captain provides training and support to the other members of the Department including Work Experience Fire Fighters and Paid On-Call Members. Additionally, the WUI Team Captain and Members are integrated into the Fire and Emergency Medical Emergency Co-Response rotation for the department. The Captain rotates as the Duty Officer for the department. The Captain will assist in administrative functions of the department in developing and enforcing operational policies, procedures, safety standards and developing and executing training plans.
