Need some color in your house? How about backlighting your counters with RGBW LED’s?

Over the years we have done many backlighting projects, and I think we really have it down. Despite it being the middle of the day, the island still displays vibrant impactful color. This means you want enough LED’s to generate a nice glow, without creating hot spots, or requiring too much power. “Sorry honey, I can’t do the Laundry. My counters are on 😉”

I am also proud how well the edge lights up to match the surface, and yet this island has enough support you can sit on it.

There is a lot of quartz suppliers that provide beautiful patterns, but one advantage of working with established quartz suppliers like is that they provide a variety of thickness options.
In this case using a 12mm Silestone Calacatta Gold on the full feature wall made the install safer and easier. It also means that we usually aim for an even tighter fit than usual, as dry-fitting and adjusting the piece is much easier. In this case we had a vaulted ceiling at 45 degree making exact template difficult. (Final height depends on how tight the backsplash sits to the wall, which depends on the high spot over the whole area covered)

That piece around the window, thats a single piece too, because the best seam is no seam.

A beautiful bungalow renovation.
The original kitchen was fairly small, and the soft marbling in this LG Viatera Rocco Quartz, adds visual interest without being overpowering in a tight space.

The outside U shaped surround of this Statuario marble fireplace was made without seams and assembled in shop.
To those unfamiliar with marble, we essentially made a marble wishbone, …with the wish being it gets delivered & installed without any cracks or breaks.
We Didn’t need to make a wish for it fitting right, because we knew it would 😁
