Congratulations to Tom Kryzanowski of Beaumont Shinny Hockey!
We received a nomination that had nothing but positive things to say about the Group Manager in Beaumont. Tom is also a former recipient of the Randy Gregg Volunteer Award back in 2023. His dedication and hard work continues to be appreciated by families that show up every year on the outdoor ice in Beaumont.

π Legends Unveiled: Dr. Randy Gregg
Born in Edmonton, Dr. Randy Gregg is a five-time Stanley Cup Champion with the Edmonton Oilers (1984, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1990) and one of only three Alberta-born players to win all five titles. He also represented Canada at the 1980 and 1988 Olympics and won the 1984 Canada Cup.
Before his NHL career, Gregg starred with the University of Alberta Golden Bears, leading them to four Canada West titles and two national championships. Beyond hockey, he excelled in baseball with the Edmonton Tigers, earning MVP honours at the 1978 Canadian Senior Championship.
After retiring, Gregg pursued medicine, opened a sports clinic in Edmonton, and founded FunTeam Alberta to give kids affordable access to sport. He was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in 2001 with the 1983β1990 Edmonton Oilers team and again as a Hockey Athlete during the Legends Unveiled Special Induction Class. π

FunTeam families should only be responsible for costs related to participation in activities. A FunTeam Groupβs registration fee for the season should be used to cover:
β
Facility rental for activities in the community.
β
Group or participant equipment (as needed)
The cost of participation should not be a barrier for sport, as fees can be minimized by watching the group budget carefully. Additional programming, player gifts, travel to play games, etc. is not required for young athletes to have fun playing sports.
