A huge thank you to the volunteers from Alberta Blue Cross Hearts of Blue for helping make Literacy Backpack Day possible! πŸ’™

Their team generously volunteered their time to pack hundreds of backpacks and deliver them to all of our sites, ensuring everything is ready for children and families to enjoy on June 23.

These backpacks help foster a love of reading, support early literacy development, provide supplies needed for Kindergarten, and provide families with fun opportunities to learn together at home. Community partnerships like this make a meaningful difference, and we are incredibly grateful for the support.

Thank you for helping us put books, learning, and smiles into the hands of children across our communities!

Little hands covered in paint may look like a mess, but they're actually hard at work, exploring, creating, problem-solving, and learning about the world around them.

Play is one of the most powerful tools for early childhood development. Through hands-on experiences, children build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

Your support helps us provide enriching learning opportunities for children and families in our community.

Help us continue creating spaces where children can learn, grow, and belong.

Today is a reminder that the actions we take, big and small, help create a healthier future for the next generation.

Big feelings are a normal part of childhood, and one of the simplest tools for helping children navigate those feelings is something they already have: their breath.

Breathing exercises help children slow down, connect with their bodies, and develop lifelong self-regulation skills. Best of all, they can be practiced anywhere, at home, in the car, at school, or on the playground.

Swipe through to learn 5 fun breathing techniques you can try with your child today: Bunny Breathing, Lion Breathing, Bee Breathing, Whale Breathing, and Alligator Breathing.

Which one do you think your child would enjoy most?
