We have many, many, fond memories of The Sidetrack Cafe. Edmonton artist Lori Frank has put it to canvas....

Who remembers the Sidetrack Cafe? What’s your memory? Sadly it closed after being open for 26 years in 2006. Friends of mine remember KD Lang dancing barefoot on the stage while singing there and the band Captain Tractor were a local favourite. Please share this with those that will remember it or that you used to go to the Sidetrack with. This new painting of mine is called The Local Legend. The original is AVAILABLE now from my site www.lorifrank.ca and prints can also be pre-ordered from it.The history of this iconic venue will always be treasured. This was a gathering spot for friends to go to and to socialize, dance and be entertained by the best of the best in the music industry. So if you don’t know about this cafe (you’re too young lol), just ask someone about it and they will tell you about an amazing band they saw there like those on this marquee.

Team Tractor had a wicked time at the Pigeon Lake Music Festival yesterday. It was touch and go for a bit with the weather, but we managed to get on, and then what a time we had. Thanks for jumping around and singing along! It was so great to meet some new friends and reconnect with old ones after the show. What a fantastic festival. Kudos to everyone involved.
Hey Friends. We are playing our favourite festival in all the land. The one that started it all for us back in 1994. The South Country Fair in Fort Macleod, Alberta. This is a fun fest run by great people. You can camp at the festival site, or you can usually find a hotel room in the nearby town, full of historic landmarks and buildings. You might recognize the main street from TV and film....Fargo, Brokeback Mountain, Interstellar, The Last of Us, and even Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
It's a crazy good lineup, including Apollo Suns, Gillian Moranz, The Bobby Tenderloin Universe, Ghostkeeper, and even Henry Wagons from Melbourne, Australia. And so many more.
We close Friday night, July 18. See you there!
