Canpro which has been serving the needs of independent paint and wallcovering retailers since 1996, was formed to allow our members to remain competitive with the onslaught of the “big box” stores that were then popping up across Canada. From our initial 5 members in 1996, Canpro has grown to having 227 leading retailer store fronts from Coast to Coast across Canada. In 2002 Canpro became a member

This is a sad day for Canpro, Days Painting Supplies: Edmonton & St Albert and Bob’s family and friends. Bob will be missed by all of us 💔. Thank you Bob for everything you did for all of us. We will be forever grateful ❤️
It saddens me to pass on this news.
On Saturday November 29th we learnt of the passing of my father Bob Pringle in his sleep. It was sudden and unexpected by all.
Words cannot properly do my father justice, and the legacy he built. One of his collegues once described him as the Yoda of the paint industry. And that stuck with me, one of the qualities I admire about my father is he was well loved, respected and admired by his peers. And he wasn’t afraid to ruffle feathers.
But deep down I know he built a community of people who would go to bat for him.
As we try to maneuvre the next steps we want to thank you for all the support and grace that community offers. We will need it.
I truthfully don’t know what to write here. But in this moment I felt it important to reach out to his valued colleagues, friends, and clients who helped him build his legacy to let you know you were loved.
Paint was my dads life blood, his store which he took over from his father and the Canpro Buying Group he helped found was his absolute passion. That legacy is not one we take lightly. And we will strive to honour that legacy, with the help of you all im sure.
Just want you all to know. He loved you. He respected you. And he took great pride in what he has built. And knew he couldn’t have done it with all of you.
And though we arent Yoda. We will try our best to keep his force alive.
From a business perspective we will want to offer assurances that we will be here in some capacity to serve you, as my Father did, and his Father before him we will all move forward together and figure it out as it goes. He'd expect that.
As seen in the picture with his great grandchild below we are gonna move forward for his legacy. Those that came before him and the three generations that follow.
Thank you all for being my Dads community. Truly from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
