The one time I was in Mexico, I ended up doing impromptu couple photos for a sweet couple by the ocean.
What started as a casual photo session quickly turned into something so much bigger.
Right there with the waves crashing behind them and the sun setting over the water, he got down on one knee and proposed.
And honestly?
It felt like something out of a movie.
The light was perfect.
The ocean breeze was perfect.
The timing was perfect.
One of those moments you couldn’t plan if you tried.
It’s a reminder that some of the most meaningful memories happen completely unexpectedly.
And getting to document it all was such an incredible experience.

Pay for the lights.
Seriously.
Most resorts in Mexico offer upgrades like string lights, fairy lights, twinkle lights, market lights, and other lighting options for your reception space.
And every single time, they completely transform the atmosphere.
Could you spend hundreds (or thousands) on elaborate centrepieces?
Absolutely.
But your guests will remember how the space felt far more than what sat in the middle of the table.
Want to save money?
Pack small faux florals.
Pack simple table accents.
DIY some of the little details.
