Our local Vice Chair Michael Decker sits on COPA Standing Committee. Yesterday, COPA had the opportunity to attend Alberta Legislative Assembly.

Chapter 1 had a successful wing night in NW Calgary. Over 45 people attended and some for the very first time attending a union event.

The Winter 2026 Employee Relations Committee (ERC) Survey is now live:

We strongly encourage you to complete the survey, which will remain open until February 19 at 4:00 PM.
This survey helps us understand your concerns and workplace experiences over the past six months. The aggregate results will be used to:
Identify emerging trends and raise awareness of workplace concerns
Promote and support communication between Local 002 members, the Public Service Commission, and Departmental Resources so issues can be identified and addressed in a timely and effective manner
Provide a mechanism for obtaining information and influencing HR policies
The survey includes the following sections:
- Training, workload, and work-life balance
- Respect in the workplace
- Occupational health and safety
You may skip any sections that are not relevant to you. However, answering as many questions as possible helps us better identify patterns and address workplace issues effectively.
