FAQs For Salons, Stylists & Clients

1. Is it safe to use after previous treatments?�Everyone can use MK, especially those with frizzy, damaged, processed hair. The MK treaiments reconstruct to repair from roots to ends and benefit every type of hair: permed, fine, coarse, frizzy, curly, color treated, extensions (be mindful of roots) as well as previously Keratin treated and Japanese straightened hair.
2. How long does the last?�Depending on the nature of the hair, everyday environment, as well as how many times as the treatment has been applied, the treatment should last 3-6 months using MK's aftercare.
3. Can I reapply the treatment?�Yes, your stylist can reapply and process again, there is no harsh chemicals to compromise the hair.
*We suggest waiting 1-2 weeks after the initial application for the product to set in

4. How and when can I color my hair?� When it comes to coloring processes we suggest that you wait 1-2 weeks before a color process to do a treatment (due to color oxidation and process). We also suggest (depending on color lines) to drop a level/shade darker when doing color prior to the treatment as the color might lift and lighten due to the low PH level in the MK treatments.
5. Is it safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding?�We suggest after your 6th month or third trimester that you may proceed using the MK Hair Botox treatment.
6. Is MK professional kid friendly?�Yes, the MK Hair Botox is great for children (10 years old and older).
7. Can I use a treatment without a flat iron?�No, we suggest using a flat iron to achieve the key result of the MK treatments.
* For best results on straight hair you'll need to pass over the hair with the flat iron about 12-15 times with ¼ sections.
* To loosen curls and smooth frizz you'll need to pass over the hair with the flat iron about 7 - 10 times with ¼ sections.
8. What if I want to smooth my frizz without getting rid of my curl?�You can achieve this look by two factors, processing time and flat iron technique: your stylist will know how.

IMPORTANT: Clients must not use Olaplex on hair after service. Olaplex No. I & No. 2 is fine to use in salon.

We both are dying 🥀☠️ over the finished results of this clients 6 hour long colour correction we did yesterday 🫠
She had used permanent red at least twice as I saw from the uneven banding in her hair before we started,

this means lifting her hair evenly became unfortunately impossible for us in our first appointment, however we got pretty dang close 😍

The most important thing to this gorgeous client was getting all the warm tones out, even if that meant she wasn’t going to be as light as she wanted in her first appointment.
It was great to hear her expectations were reasonable in the first appointment.

This client was blonde, then red, colour removed, coloured permanent black, then coloured dark demi all in the last year. We did a full head of foils not knowing what we would get, the cut layers and 90’s Pam Anderson bangs all for such a beautiful result 💕😊
