I came to the Burn this year with a mission: leave my baggage at the door.
Because being stressed out isn’t me.
Yo girl took over a warehouse, started rescuing dogs, somehow kept adding things to her to-do list without taking anything off it… and let me tell you, I’ve been flirting with burnout for a minute.
I thought I needed to burn it all away.
But somewhere between the dust storms, the rain, the art cars, the music, and the beautiful chaos of thousands of people choosing to show up for each other, I realized…
Maybe community isn’t about checking your baggage at the door.
Maybe it’s about creating enough space, perspective, and connection to finally unpack it.
Because sometimes you have to step outside your normal life to actually see it clearly.
To remember that whatever is consuming your brain right now is just one tiny chapter in a much bigger story.
That there is purpose beyond productivity.
That connection is medicine.
That trusting people is a form of courage.
And that letting yourself be supported doesn’t make you weak.
It makes you human.
Maybe that’s what I loved most about the dust this year.
It didn’t ask me to have everything figured out.
It just invited me to loosen my grip, get a little dirty, dance until my brain shut up for a minute, and remember that we were never meant to carry everything alone.
So if you could metaphorically burn one thing in the fire this year…

What do you do to calm the chaos in your life?
The Internet always becomes such a highlight reel of the best parts, but not pictured above is how DAMN overwhelmed I was last week. 🙃
People warn you about burnout, but you don’t always see it coming. You just kind of slip into a numbness one day and suddenly realize you barely recognize yourself.
There’s such an art to being vulnerable in the public eye. I think a lot of us who seem the happiest internalize so much, convince ourselves we can handle everything, and forget that asking for help is a strength. But when you’re the most overwhelmed is exactly when you need to reach out.
So thank you SO MUCH to my team for being there to catch me when I took on more than I’ve ever handled before.
I’m happy to say that with some forest grounding, self-care, and a game plan, your girl is slowly climbing out of the burnout hole… just in time for the Burn😜🔥
I feel like I’m emerging as a new version of myself. And somehow, my North Star..my desire to fight for justice and make this planet a little better…is burning harder than ever.
Yesterday, for the first time in a minute, MUSIC POURED out of me. And I can’t wait to take everything I’ve learned through this chapter and channel it into my art.
Because if you don’t use your voice, you remain voiceless. And your voice is your power.
USE IT.
The systems around us can be designed to quiet us, isolate us, and make us feel like we’re alone. But speaking honestly, feeling deeply, and transmuting those emotions into art is part of the reason we’re here together.
Keep creating. Keep speaking. Keep feeling.
And when the chaos gets loud, remember to come back home to yourself 🐺🌲❤️
