When everything changed in just a few days, compassionate care close to home made all the difference for Sylvia and her family.

Watch her story.

Sylvia's story is a reminder that compassionate care isn't just about supporting patients and residents, it's about keeping families connected through life's most difficult moments.
Because when care is close to home, loved ones can stay close too. πŸ’™
Her story is coming soon.

One moment, everything is as it should be. The next, nothing is the same.

Soon, Sylvia will share the story of how her life changed in just a few short days and how compassionate care close to home helped her through it.

Covenant Foundation is grateful for the ongoing support of Bird Construction Inc. through our Partners in Care Program. πŸ’™

Recently, Bird team members joined residents and staff at Covenant Health Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre for two special initiatives this Seniors' Month:

🌻 Rooftop garden clean-up: Volunteers helped with planting, weeding and seasonal preparations, getting the outdoor space ready for residents and their loved ones to enjoy together this summer.

🎲 Vegas-themed celebration: Volunteers helped bring the event to life, creating a fun-filled day of connection, conversation and laughter. Residents shared memories of past trips and holidays, making the experience especially meaningful and nostalgic.

Thank you, Bird Construction, for your continued partnership and for giving our seniors these moments to celebrate. 🌻

At some point, many of us will become caregivers. πŸ’™

We’ll accompany a parent to appointments, help make difficult decisions, advocate for their care and look for ways to ensure they feel safe, supported and valued.

For Laurel, that journey has meant watching her mother, Linda, receive the same compassion and care she spent a lifetime giving to others.

Read their story and discover how dignity, kindness and connection can make all the difference.

The greatest gifts we can give are often the values we pass on. πŸ’™
For Anna, that's always been teaching others to be considerate of one another.

πŸ’™ Music has a remarkable way of bringing comfort, connection and calm during life's most challenging moments. We're proud to support programs like music therapy in the NICU and grateful to the families who shared their stories. Together, we can help ensure compassionate care continues for babies and families who need it most.
