The Edmonton Humane Society (EHS) has been a leader in animal welfare since 1907, dedicated to enriching the lives of people and companion animals. Through sheltering, veterinary care, education, advocacy, and community engagement, we care for animals in need while strengthening the bond between pets and their families. Guided by our vision of people and pets thriving, together, we rely on the generosity of our community to create a brighter future for animals and those who love them.

Did you see miss Lucy on Global Edmonton this morning?
Dr. Ted Purcell introduced this seven-month-old sweetheart of a pup who LOVES to run and play. Lucy would do well in a home with older children and adults who can keep up with her! πΆ
This weekend is also our Pets in the Park festival on June 14, and Dr. Ted made sure to let viewers know about all of the fun activities visitors can expect this Sunday! π

Today we're celebrating a foster success story with another Feel Good Foster Friday! π
Boba (formerly Annabeth), a sweet bunny who has now found a loving home, is proof that the power of quality care and nurturing can truly make a difference, even in a short amount of time.
Her foster family loved watching her playful personality emerge, especially when she would partake in some adorable nighttime zoomies π€
βAnnabeth was such a sweet girl to have around,β her foster parent shared. During her time in foster care, she quickly showed just how social, curious and lovable she truly was π₯° After spending her first night adjusting to her new surroundings, she came out of her shell and was soon happily exploring the room, coming over for pets and spending time near her foster family.
And sheβs continuing to thrive in her new home. Her new guardian shared that after just two days together, Boba was settling in wonderfully and the two had already formed a very special bond π«Ά
While our adoption gallery is under renovation, fosters help us maintain capacity and support animals waiting for their perfect homes. From day trips to sleepovers and weekend getaways, even a short break from the shelter can have a huge impact on an animal's well-being.

2025 was a year of impact β¨

But none of these achievements would have been possible without you β our amazing and supportive community. Whether you donated, fostered, volunteered or attended events, you deserve a heartfelt THANK YOU β€οΈ
