This week I stopped by to drop off the first set of list books! These are a great companion to a day planner or journal, and I'm so excited to finally share them. Fruit & Veggie notecards are also restocked, perfect for adding a short message to gifts this holiday.

November newsletter is up! Link in bio for the long form. To be honest, it’s been a bit of a heavy month around here, and navigating it has taken up a lot of my mental space.

I've been doing some good work on the list books, and will have an update on them soon! I've also been testing out some black-on-black printing for the patterns, which I'm really loving.

Ok, for this month's newsletter, please allow me ONE more gleeful sneak peek of this new notebook prototype.

I’m revising the dimensions a bit - originally set up at 3x8 inches to pair with a classic Moleskine or Leuchtturm1917. I’m going to amend that to 3x7.25 inches so it also works with the Hobonichi Weeks!

(And I do plan to use the longer prototype myself - this grid paper is just too nice to waste 😍)

This month on my Substack, we're talking paper, including how I test new papers to include in notebooks, my current love of grid-paper, and take a peek at a new product prototype!

Hi friends! This month, I wanted to focus in a bit on the trip to Japan I went on last summer. Stationery is huge in Japan, and I definitely came back with fresh energy for making when I came back home.

There are so many traditional methods of hand-crafting patterns in Japan - from pressure-based shibori dye patterns, to elaborately block-printed rice papers, to stitching patterns into older or worn fabrics with sashiko. If you want to check out the long form post, my Substack newsletter is linked in my bio!

For our June newsletter, we're talking flowers and fans! There were a lot of inspiring pieces of paper ephemera in Japan, and the first one I am trying to make at home is an uchiwa fan. These hand fans are often given away as branded promotional items, and with the heat and humidity in Tokyo it was easy to see why - they worked really well for getting through a summer festival or sporting even on a hot day, and they also were a lovely way to carry around a little piece of functional art.

It's time for the May newsletter! Link in bio for the long form.

I’ve been working on some coil-bound book experiments. As a left handed person, I have a mixed relationship with coils, since they’ll often dig into my hand as I’m working in the notebook.

That mixed feeling seems to have seeped into the process a bit. The first coils I tried were too big, the second ones were too small and didn’t fit many pages. Trial and error is certainly leaning heavily on the “error” side in these initial tests, but I want to pivot and try again!

Hi friends! My first monthly Substack newsletter is live today - link in bio if you want to check it out.

This month, I'm talking about finding new surface pattern inspiration through textiles and embroidery, and reflecting on taking care of your body as part of your artistic practice.

Hello friends!

I'm sorry things have been a bit quiet this year - I've been getting hit with a lot of life stuff between the end of this year and the beginning of this one, and some of the paper supply-chain impacts from the pandemic have finally caught up with me, too.

That, and I've been trying to figure out a way to use my socials that doesn't start me off on a doom scroll.

SO with that being said, I'm trying something new - I'm late to the party, but I will be trying out Substack! There is a link in bio to join, and I'll post a monthly catch-up where I talk about what's inspiring me and what I've been working on. I'll also post a little summary here, so you can still follow along here on Instagram if you prefer.

First one comes out on the 2nd of April!

Hi friends! I wanted to share the first donation from my Palestine fundraising stickers - I still have a good amount of stickers left , so hopefully in the future we can donate the proceeds again, but I wanted to get the funds from the winter purchases off to where they can start helping people 💚🖤❤️🤍
