Finding the Path: Walk in Allyship Podcast Series | Episode 6 | Hope, Healing and Walking Forward Together
This is our sixth and final episode of the Walk in Allyship Podcast Series. This episode highlights a hopeful and practical conversation about moving forward together. REACH Edmonton’s Jan Fox and Native Counselling Services of Alberta ’s Marlene Orr reflect on lessons from the series and invite listeners to commit to tangible next steps: one personal and one organizational.
Their discussion emphasizes relationship-building, humility, shared accountability, and the power of “sacred conversations” where people feel safe to ask questions and learn. It’s a closing chapter focused not on perfection, but on progress, trust, and walking the path together.

When collective energy, brains, and people come together, its power can build a community
At the recent Human Services Leadership Summit in May, we’re reminded that impact can grow when we all come together. As the CEO of YWCA, Katherine O’Neill shared: “It’s the power of bringing collective energy, brains, and people with passion for community building together to do big things.”
We are at a turning point in our communities, and the need has never been greater. Taking the time to think bigger, bolder, and more collaboratively is not just valuable, it’s essential. These moments of coming together at the Summit remind us not only of the importance of the work towards meaningful change, but also that we are not doing it alone. We are doing it together.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Summit and continue to show up, think boldly, and build toward stronger Edmonton!
