An Introduction to Safewalk
Meet Safewalk!
Safewalk provides a safe and reliable alternative to walking alone at night around the campus community and beyond. Safewalk was also created to build the safest possible campus community. We serve the campus by walking clients and patrolling as a measure of crime deterrence while upholding a strict policy of non-intervention.
Safewalk is free of charge and is available to any member of the surrounding community—undergrads, graduate students, staff, faculty, and members of the public. Whether you don't like to walk alone after dark, or would just like some company on your trip, give us a call!
To use Safewalk, call 780 4 WALKME (780 492 5563). Our dispatchers will send a two-person team to meet you and walk you anywhere within our boundaries. You can also approach any patrolling team on campus.
