A message from our owner:
With a humble heart and hopeful prayers, I am making this post for my Grandson Theo in BC.
Theo is my niece Shaylynn’s son. She has recently been given the news that Theo has leukaemia and will require treatment. She has requested I share this with anyone who may be willing to donate or share with their networks.

In partnership with the Indian Resource Council, NAIT will deliver an Environmental Capacity Building and Training Program for Indigenous people seeking a career path in the net zero sector. This initiative is entirely funded by the Indian Resource Council to provide this training at no cost to students.
The program will take place between February 20th and March 21st, bringing career path exposure in green systems, environmental stewardship, and the net zero sector. Students will also take two courses on Clean Fuels and the Hydrogen Economy, and finally finish the program with direct job shadowing within one of NAIT’s Applied Research centres.
This training program will be available online and in person at the NAIT Campus, Edmonton, Alberta. The participants will receive a certificate for successfully completing the program.
The DEADLINE date for applications will be February 18th, 2025.
This is your chance to be exposed to the careers in net zero, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. To register now, reach out to Gina Potts at [email protected]

We were honoured for the opportunity to showcase FIND First Indigenous Workforce Services at the Nakiskậtowin – an Indigenous Partnership Celebration, hosted by NAIT Applied Research.
It was inspiring to gain insight on the innovative capacity-building initiatives led by Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations from Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories.
FIND has been in partnership with NAIT to provide workforce development and participation services with First Nation communities within a variety of sectors. We look forward to meeting with Minister Wilson soon to talk about workforce participation and inclusion for Indigenous people.
