Yesterday, we had the privilege of attending the 2026 YWCA Edmonton Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon at the Royal Glenora Club and left feeling genuinely inspired.

This incredible event celebrates women and gender-diverse individuals whose leadership, vision, and dedication are shaping a stronger, more equitable Edmonton. From Trailblazers breaking barriers in their fields to rising leaders driving civic change, the room was filled with the kind of people who remind you why community matters.

Watching these remarkable individuals be recognized for their courage, creativity, and impact was a powerful reminder that real change happens one committed person at a time.

A huge congratulations to all of this year's honourees and thank you to YWCA Edmonton for continuing a legacy of celebration and advocacy that has been going strong since 1982.

Earlier this week, Cameron Corporation employees visited Edmonton's Food Bank as part of our annual volunteering and donation commitment to this vital local organization.

Did you know that they provide food for over 43,000 people each month through their hamper programs and over 500,000 snacks and meals through partnerships with schools, shelters, community groups and soup kitchens?

Food security is a cause that has special meaning to many of our employees and as such, sign-up lists are often full as a result for our volunteering days.

Cameron Corporation attended CASA Mental Health's annual Garden of Hope Gala (sponsored by Clark Builders) last Friday evening, and it was an emotional and eye-opening event to say the least.

We thank the families that shared their personal stories about how their children benefited from CASA’s integral services, and we learned about how the organization is increasing its capacity in Alberta and opening new locations.

The Garden of Hope gala raises funds for free, life-changing mental health care for kids and families. And as you may be aware, there is a growing mental health crisis. Since the inception of the CASA Gala, the organization has raised over $4 million for this cause but there is always need for more support.
